In the present research is to define the welding process analysis with the main objective to know the residual stress field caused by high temperatures. Therefore the collection efforts will be made in this thesis the most important in the soldering process and the evaluation of residual stresses in a 316L stainless steel which can be used in the manufacture of prostheses biocompactibles with humans. The first chapter is composed of the state of the art which describes the first application and the evolution over time. The factors that prompted its application in industry becoming a fundamental process in the unification of materials. Then in Chapter II describes in detail the theoretical procedure in order to perform TIG welding, MIG and laser. Considering the supplements for each process, ie type of electrode, shielding gas, amperage, voltage, and type of material. For Chapter III develops the first phase of the numerical analysis developed in ANSYS, which is to produce a transient thermal analysis of the type, since the induction of the heat source is a function of time as the phenomenon of thermal convection . In this chapter, analysis is performed for each welding process mentioned above in 2-D and 3-D. These tests are essential because the output file will be essential RTH in Chapter IV. This analysis is of the non-linear as they are used termodependientes data. In Chapter IV are modeled and meshed again specimens used in thermal analysis, with the difference that the item changes as in this chapter is coupled analysis of the structural type. Since the results of thermal analysis should be inserted as static in this analysis by obtaining the residual stresses caused by the induction of high temperatures in the specimens. This analysis is of the non-linear as they are used and the graph data termodependientes stress-strain. Then in Chapter V is performed Finite Element simulation of crack response method. This method is experimental-destructive and development in ANSYS, allows results to be compared with experimental analysis. This method is to remove or induce controlled cutting the specimen, in this case requires removing elements meshed in test tubes to simulate the actual experimental phenomenon. For Chapter VI describes the detailed procedure for performing the method of crack response in welded specimens, as well as the instrumentation of the specimens with strain gauges. It explains the importance of making the cut because the method of electroerosion. As microdeformaciones record obtained through the Wheatstone bridge so that the graph of the curve obtained is introduced to a program FORTRAM computing platform, the results were plotted so that efforts will be obtained depending on the depth of cuts made to the specimen. Finally, we obtained a series of conclusions that lead to discussion of the results of the analysis performed in 2-D and 3-D, raised both methodologies and options for future work.es
