Título : Una secuencia didáctica para generar los conceptos de sucesión y serie en el nivel medio superior

Descripción : It is known that in the program at a pre University level of the IPN there is not approached the topic of numerical series, but on having done a small reading on the history of the infinite series, they arose in civilizations that did not develop the calculation since it can it turns in Rosas (2007), this led us to do the question of investigation. In the investigations of Albert (1996), Douglas (1992), Moreno (1999) and Perez (1991) it worked with pupils of top and a half top level respectively but that already they had dealed differential and integral calculation. In this work our aim is to show the results that were obtained during the development of the problem of investigation that we have established. To answer this, we base on the design and application of didactic sequences, it is for it that this investigation his frame of reference turns about the line of investigation called Theory of Didactic Situations and Didactic Engineering, looking that the students construct this mathematical object by means of numerical and graphical representations by means of an experimental scheme based on the didactic accomplishments in class, that is to say, on the conception, accomplishment, observation and analysis of didactic situations based on the confrontation between the analysis to priori and to posteriori. (Artigue, 1995). For this reason the work of realized field, in the graphical part it has developed in a natural stage with a group of pupils of the third semester of baccalaureate formed in equipments. These students only have dealed the matters of algebra, geometry, trigonometry and analytical geometry. The didactic sequence consists of achieving that the pupils work graphically with infinite series using a package malingerer graficador Graphmatica for the environment Windows. In the numerical stage students were chosen in such a way that they had to do comparisons between the exponential function and the sum of functions polinomiales using his scientific calculator. The reached results show that the performance is similar to that of the students who know calculation.
