Resumen : | The symptom most frequently recorded in the oncology patient is chronic pain. Experiencing chronic pain can be a stressful experience that affects the progression of cancer. With this type of interventions, that patients need to educate not only regulate their stress levels, but also cope with their grief. A study of prospective, quasi-experimental and longitudinal design with a pretest-post with 15 patients with chronic pain in advanced cancer them being their own checks to determine the effect of training the respiratory sinus arrhythmia with the support of biofeedback in the bilateral and peripheral temperature variability of heart rate in the pain coping strategies. Activity was recorded independently of the variability of heart rate in the execution of the natural response of relaxation both in training (6) and monitoring (3) found that the increase in parasympathetic activity would correlate positively with the increase in coping strategies of distraction that contributed to the decline in the perception of pain in these patients. However, studies are required to generate more information. |
