REVISIÓN DELFUNCIONAMIENTO HIDRÁULICO DE UNA PLANTA DE TRATAMIENTO DE AGUAS RESIDUALES

Abstract

In this paper, we are presenting the most important aspects related to the operation of a sewage treatment plant, the general performance points to be considered, as well as the hydraulic principles behind the desing if the hydraulic processes that make up the treatment train. (Chapters I, II and III). We have made a compilation of information of the existing sewage treatments plants in Mexico City. We scheduled several field trips to some of them, having chosen the Planta de Tratamiento de Aguas Residuales Chapultepec for as a study case. (Chapter IV). An analysis was done of the alternatives for the hydraulic improvement of this plant, finding that the current operation volume of the plant could be increased through the construction of an excess tank. (Chapter V). From the hydraulic revision of the contribution and demand system of the treatment plant, we concluded that the operation flow is 65,664 cubic meters per week, having a 37.16 % increase. Finally, the particular and general recommendations are presented in Chapter VI.
