Título : UN ANÁLISIS TERRITORIAL DE LA EDUCACIÓN SUPERIOR TECNOLÓGICA EN MÉXICO, BAJO EL PARADIGMA ECONÓMICO “NEOLIBERAL”

Resumen : The growth given to the superior technological education in Mexico during 1970 wasn´t enough, causing centralization in the cities, and showing it in different ways in each zone of the ten zones that compose the national territory. Like in many other aspects the superior education shows the phenomenon of centralization due to the concentration in specific places of apparently development that is a characteristic of the globalized economies that compose unequally the development. But these isn´t a recent problem, it´s been here for a long time and it responds to unique characteristics and conditions depending on the development of each states and the economy, natural resources and human resource that supports each zone. It also responds to culture and social factors. Since the 50´s, a decentralization of the superior education was searched, but it wasn´t possible even with the promotion of the technological institutes in different regions. The diagnosis made by the Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (National Science and Technology Council), showed a poor and unequal territorial distribution of the superior technological education, giving as a result a lack of capacity to attend the demands of the student population in the different zones, mainly due to the unequal distribution of the school and affecting the growth of the students population, which still concentrates in the developed urban centers. This work tries to give an explanation, from an objective point of view, about the situation in which the superior education in Mexico develops, ruled under the neoliberal paradigm and the impact that it causes in the economic development and the social achievement in the country.
Descripción : Analizar la influencia del paradigma neoliberal económico en la Educación Superior Tecnológica en México, para comprender bajo qué contexto geográfico, político - social se ubica la educación y el desarrollo científico y tecnológico en las diferentes regiones del territorio Nacional como escenario de su crecimiento.
