Resumen : The problem of air pollution in the Metropolitan Area Valley of Mexico (MZVM), but is aggravated by a number of physiographic and climatic characteristics unique to the area, it mainly depends on emissions are released into it. For this reason it is necessary to address and respond to high levels of pollution that is present in a few days of the year, in addition to permanently environmental authorities measure the concentrations of air pollutants to meet air quality and inform the population, it is necessary to know the sources responsible for generation, so that certain models have been applied mathematical data powered emission inventories coupled with meteorological information, you can get to know, how, when and where these pollutants are generated order to mitigate and prevent damage to health. The content of this dissertation is to establish the prediction method on the "TIMELY IDENTIFICATION OF SOURCES ASSOCIATED WITH EXTRAORDINARY OF SO2 EMISSIONS IN THE MZVM, applying a trajectory model" which is structured primarily by Chapter 1, resulting in the background and case definitions, the objectives pursued and technical justification, Chapter 2 is devoted to the current problem of air pollution in the metropolitan area of Mexico City (ZMVM) and the link on sulfur dioxide (SO2), the norms that exist on their control and on simulation models. Chapter 3 describes time regarding the details of the study area, such as physiography, and geo-climatic features of the MZVM, Chapter 4 presents a description of the emissions inventory and the conditions under which the SO2 in the MZVM and the evolution of air quality with respect to SO2, Chapter 5, describes the trajectory model used as a tool for simulations of trajectory "Hysplit", its general characteristics, applications and methods of use, compared with other models; and finally, chapter 6 shows the case study, which identifies and shows the benefits of implementing such a program, identifying any sources of extraordinary emissions in question.
Descripción : Identificar las fuentes puntuales asociadas a los episodios de las emisiones extraordinarias de SO2 en la Zona Metropolitana del Valle de México (ZMVM), mediante la aplicación de un modelo de trayectoria.
