Resumen : Planning aimed to achieve regional development projects based on improving tourist infrastructure such as the Ecological Tourist Corridor San Felipe region - small harbors - San Luis Gonzaga, (the first two already included in a program like tourist corridor) should be comprehensive and systematic in its attempt to integrate into a regional model, the combination of physical, economic, cultural, scenic and ecological zone. The objective of this research is to analyze the regional development along the coastal San Felipe - San Luis Gonzaga through its programs and regional development projects and consideration of environmental factors. In the first chapter deals with the theories needed to explain the phenomenon of tourism and territorial impact was prepared according to the research needs to form an objective assessment of regional tourism and its effects. Physical diagnosis, discussed in Chapter II is essential to have a precise view of what exists and what is needed in the region. It is an analysis that is physically located in the region compared to the state and neighboring municipalities with respect to the country and also with regard to international spaces, historical moments - political importance in the evolution of tourism, the region's integration with other cities in terms of potential markets, analyzed from the functionality or dysfunctionality of the infrastructure, the socio - economic factors in the region such as migration, infrastructure, employment, economic backwardness, the polarization of the population and the characteristics of the physical environment. Chapter III “growth and regional development” explaining the socio-economic variables and productive system in the region, to know the practice of tourism and consider its real potential. Chapter IV analyzes the impact of development policies in the region, evaluating Plans and programs as well as environmental management and sustainable development. In the final chapter makes the prospective deal with the potential that the region as well as four possible scenarios: baseline, contextual, alternative strategy.
