PROPUESTA DE ACTIVIDADES EDUCATIVORECREATIVAS QUE COADYUVEN A VERTEBRAR EL C.E.A. JOYA DE NIEVES, SIERRA DE GUADALUPE

Abstract

The place of study was Joya de Nieves that belongs to the protected natural area named Sierra de Guadalupe. In Joya de Nieves is located the environmental education center that is in the zone 10 in the Gustavo A. Madero delegation. This zone, specially the neighborhoods around Joya de Nieves, shows high rates of poverty and precarious living conditions. In this research are considered the most relevant issues around environmental education. These ideas have been developed since the sixties; because they are part of many national and international documents about environment and education. This work reviews the history of international agreements, which have included the importance of environmental education. Through this perspective we can see the importance of carry out this study in Joya de Nieves, because this place already has its own infrastructure to make activities. The main objective was to developed a proposal for educational and recreational activities that help to structure the CEA in Joya de Nieves, Sierra de Guadalupe with the aim of contributing to the conservation of protected natural areas and to support environmental education –in the GAM delegation. In this sense, I take three conceptual and methodological guidelines on how to address the relationship between the education, environment and recreation, with the purpose of properly locating the focus of this study and choosing the most appropriate methodological tools to gather information objectively.
