Estudio de la viabilidad de un sitio en el Municipio de Ayahualulco Veracruz para diseñar un Relleno Sanitario Intermunicipal

Abstract

The population growth, technological advances and the lack of environmental awareness, foster excessive generation of municipal solid waste sources, which do not have a proper disposal, depositing these in open dumps causing various types of pollution. As in many parts of the country, this is a serious problem that overwhelms Ayahualulco municipalities and Ixhuacán de los Reyes in the state of Veracruz. Analysis is performed in an area proposed by the municipality of Ayahualulco to see if it meets the specifications calling for the NOM-083-SEMARNAT-2003 for the future construction of a Sanitary Landfill in collaboration with the Municipality of Ixhuacán de los Reyes. It is important to the population projection and know the per capita generation of waste per capita per day as well as the type of waste generated in both communities to learn what numbers and types of waste treated at the landfill. Is emphasized by NOM-083 features of the site and if it meets the necessary guidelines to function as a filler, there will be a environmental impact assessment to detect changes that may cause the work, before and during operation. Ayahualulco's population will grow exponentially over the next 15 years adding to the waste generation in Ixhuacán de los Reyes will have a slow growth, obtained in the cracking products are mostly organic matter which can be used in a future for biogas generation that benefits the city, separating products such as cardboard, plastic and cans which can be recycled and sold to generate extra income and avoid depositing them in the landfill's life span of this, the site meets the guidelines to operate as needed to fill, having carried out environmental impact assessment.
