ESTRATEGIAS POLÍTICAS SEGUIDAS POR UN PARTIDO POLÍTICO MEXICANO PARA ESCALAR AL PODER DEL ESTADO. CASO PRD

Abstract

This investigation aims to analyze the political strategies implemented by the Democratic Revolution Party to climb to power of the state and submit a proposal of alternative strategies to be followed by the PRD to achieve better results in successive elections. The most important conclusion that we arrived at work, is that strategies initially implemented by the Mexican left, with the PRD to the head, had positive results, so that the PRD was positioned as the second largest Party acceptance nationally, reaching 14,683,096 votes in 2006. These strategies have been in principle the unity around with it and unity of disagreements citizens motivated by recurrent crises of the system, which has allowed the left to maintain a certain margin of votes and reach some States and local positions of power. Another strategy has been a constant campaign against the government in turn with social movements led by the main political actors. However, this has not been enough to climb to power of the Mexican state and, moreover, in 2009, derived from the internal division of the party, imposition of candidates, anti-democratic attitudes contrary to what point their statutes and privileges granted to leaders currents inside the Party, has led to a loss of supporters and, therefore, the decrease in their ability to compete in the last election, as seen in the reported data of this research. Finally, as a result of the investigation, there is a proposed alternative strategy for the Mexican left, with the PRD to the front, get a better position to scale the power of the state. The strategy is drawn in the general scheme shown in Figure No. 4, which is based on the suggested model by Hill and Jones (2009) and adapted to the case of political strategies to be followed by the PRD.
