Descripción : We approached the subject of mnemonics, that in its scholastic version is well-known as mnemonic resources, and that not very often the effects are documented in the education-learning process. For investigation effects, we took a case study from a particular resource that was detected in the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de la Región Carbonifera and that is denominated trigonometrical mnemonic resource from the derived of the sine and cosine. The investigation is described in five chapters. In the first one appears a vision of the characteristics of the present surroundings of the institution. It is to say in context, initiating by the forms of working, marked by the Dirección General de Institutos Tecnológicos (DGIT). A study of the characteristics of the involved theories of learning in the operating educational model is included, from which the learning notion is taken (educational paradigm) that determines the stages of the educational process. Chapter two is about the anthropological vision of Yves Chevallard, because it is based on the educational reality, its process and its implications in the learning. The definitions that we adopted of mnemonics and its applications are studied in chapter three. In this chapter some of mnemonics resources more common are defined, its effects and limits as well as the adaptations that suffer in particular cases. Texts of mathematics are also included that demonstrate the use of mnemonics like an accepted practice. The specific mnemonic resource that we presented has been known for four years in the institution and we known it is in use. A statistical study is not made. It is a study of cases that allows us to document the experiences of each of the subjects when using this resource. All this is found in the fourth chapter. The last chapter contains the conclusions and final observations of the Investigation.
