ÁREAS DE OPORTUNIDAD EN DESARROLLOS TECNOLÓGICOS PARA EL REGISTRO DE LA PROPIEDAD INTELECTUAL EN MÉXICO

Abstract

Intellectual Property has been a fundamental part in the development of humanity, which is required to protect their inventions to ensure the rights of inventors and thereby encourage investment in the development of new technologies, in this regard have produced different figures Property Intellectual and various institutions responsible for carrying out such protection. In Mexico, there is a lack of culture in Intellectual Property, even though the Distrito Federal has a large number of universities, in 2008 only 219 patents were generated, in contrast to the thousands of patents that are generated in the countries such as USA, Japan, China, etc. On the other hand, trends in technology with great potential to generate a set of Intellectual Property, are digital audio-visual technologies, according to INEGI, Mexico has 92.6% of televisions in houses, ie, most of the population has at least one TV, but most of the Mexican population have no access to digital TV, as they are about four times more expensive than analog TV. Currently, Mexico has a law which requires the transition from analog audio-visual technologies to digital technologies, through the so-called digital switchover, which is scheduled for 2015. An alternative technology that simultaneously represents a great opportunity to start introducing in Mexico, is the use of decoders, which can be very expensive and not suitable for the Mexican population, as hitherto existing decoders are foreign development and payment of royalties to the respective patents, raising their costs of sale. So, that as a result of this analysis, the ptesent paper proposes the development of an ideal decoder, according to the needs of the Mexican population, with the technological features that will generate an ideal decoder and innovative and capable of generating a set of National Intellectual Property to achieve cost reductions for the payment of royalties and that in turn allows it to be a versatile decoder that can be used anywhere in the world. Finally, an example of perfect proportions for the general flowchart of the relevant patent application in Mexico.
