Resumen : The lerp psyllid, Glycaspis brimblecombei Moore, is an exotic pest of Australian origin. Damages caused by this species are: sap suction from foliage, carbohidrates liberated by the insects attractants to sooty mold, dark color on foliage, aestethic reduction on crown tree and defoliation, when high density population pest exists, besides the increment on the susceptibility to other insect attack. For evaluating endemic insects as possible regulators on the eucalypt psyllid population, weekly sampling was done on 10 randomly selected trees for each sampling date. Crown tree was monitored to get a total number of 2,331 insects (period: from september 2002 to june 2003) and were separated as follows: 39.54% belonged to Hemiptera order, from families Pentatomidae (Podisus sp.), Anthocoridae (Anthocoris nemoralis, Orius tristicolor, Podisus sp.) and Reduviidae (Zelus sp.), 13.63% to Coleoptera order: Coccinellidae family (Olla v-nigrum Mulsant, Hippodamia convergens Guérin, Harmonia axydiris Pallas, Chilocorus sp.), 12.72% to Araneae order, and 9.09% Hymenoptera order: Encyrtidae (Psyllaephagus bliteus) and 2.04% to Neuroptera: Chrysopidae (Chrysoperla carnea), followed by three more orders, with less percentages.
