| Descripción : | The analysis of the knowledge of the relative student to a conceptual field of the series of Fourier in the context of the transfer of mass, is an investigation work that is integrated by two study types: 1) integration of a conceptual field of a mathematical structure in a phenomenon of the chemical engineering, with the analysis of the elements that conform it. 2) Analysis of the students knowledge referred to their action in this field. In the first study, it is carried out a characterization of the series of Fourier in the transfer of mass, in order to determine the situations and the concepts that must integrate a conceptual content on the relationship among these two notions. The result of the study, is a conceptual field, integrated by four situations about the drying of a substance. And a group of concepts that they derive of the situations, fixing the correspondence: series of Fourier – context and situation-concept. In the second study, the variation is described in the representations that take place in the analysis of the outline from the student when to interact with the mentioned conceptual field. The gathering of data is carried through five sessions in depth, under the investigator's conduction, of a focus group integrated by two students of Chemical Engineering of the seventh and eighth semester from the Technological Institute to Toluca. The results of this study, show their concepts in the group, whose indicator are the operative invariants presents in their representations. |
