| Descripción : | We report for first time the thermal diffusivity value of API5L-X52 steel used for manufacturing pipelines. We applied
the Photoacoustic technique in a heat transmission configuration at room temperature. We present a comparison of our
meassured values and the reported values in literature for other types of steel with a near composition to API5L-X52 steel.
The thermal diffusivity value of API5L-X52 steel is 50% less of the pure iron value, a 30% less of 1018 steel value and
