Objective: To determine the effectiveness of the implementation of triage by doctors to patients attending the emergency department of Hospital General Regional 25. Inclusion criteria: Patients older than 16 years who were seen as the first option in the triage area. Exclusion criteria: Patients who left the unit before completing his medical care. Variables: age, gender, color code, original purpose, subsequent fate and effectiveness. Sample size: All patients seen during the first fortnight of January 2011. Statistical analysis: We will make a final report of the results by analyzing data in SPSS using Spearman correlation. Keywords: Triage, efficiency, correlation.es
