BASES PARA UNA PROPUESTA DEL PROGRAMA DE FORMACIÓN DOCENTE EN LA DIVISIÓN DE LA UNIVERSIDAD TECNOLÓGICA DE NEZAHUALCÓYOTL

Abstract

The purpose of this work is to provide a basis for a Training Program and Updating teachers for the Academic Division Technology Management of Universidad Tecnológica de Nezahualcóyotl (UTN). The Academic Division Technology Management received the UTN Accreditation from the Council for Accreditation of Teaching and Management Accounting, AC (CACECA) in 2005 and the Teacher Certification by the National Association of Colleges and Schools in Accounting and Management (ANFECA) in June 2011. That´s why, it is therefore necessary that the UTN offers an array of courses that promote academics professionalism and update training on the situation. This work shows the results from the analysis of the institutional instrument called “Measuring student satisfaction” for the three quarterly periods of 2009 and 2010 that was applied by the administrative staff of the UTN in order to determine which courses offer the opportunity areas for teachers. The percentages of items 4 and 5 about “agree” and “strongly agree” were added in order to analyze it. Major findings are that: a) repeatedly, the students considered teachers lacked pedagogical and methodological aspects but they had knowledge of the discipline in which they were formed, b) in two periods, the view was that teachers knew course content and managed successful teacher-student relation ship The analysis provided indicators to propose contents of some courses that promote teachers´ occupation
